JENNIFER ELLIS, J.D.

Jennifer
Ellis is the Vice President and a consultant with Freedman Consulting,
which assists law firms with a full range of issues, including
such things as strategic planning, client development, project
management, technology, and more, on the business side of the
practice. She has clients throughout the United States.
Jennifer concentrates her consulting in
marketing, technology, the intersection of technology and ethics,
client development, and teaching attorneys how to make effective
use of technology to obtain better leverage and enhance profitability.
She spends a substantial amount of time on issues involving
social media, including law firm marketing and evidence collection
and preservation.
Jennifer served as Associate Director
of Media Technologies with the Pennsylvania Bar Institute for
over 12 years. She managed many of PBI’s programs on technology,
technology law and law practice management, as well as PBI’s
social media presence.
Jennifer directed PBI staff and outside consultants in developing a marketing application which enabled PBI to send both its direct and email marketing to a highly targeted audience. She also led PBI to two ACLEA awards, the award for Professional Excellence in Technology for the creation of the distance education format called Simulcasting and the award for Professional Excellence in Marketing for the social media campaign for the Law Practice Management and Development Institute.
Jennifer obtained her B.A. in English from Dickinson College in Carlisle, and her J.D. cum laude from Widener University School of Law in Delaware, where she served on the Board of the Moot Court Honors Society and as a member of Law Review. She has also held the position of Adjunct Professor of Legal Methods for Widener University School of Law. Jennifer is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
